How Kennedy Home Services Works
The process adapts to the project. A clear repair may move quickly. A diagnostic condition, regulated trade, custom renovation, or multi-stage property project needs more planning before pricing and scheduling.
Tell us what the property needs
Submit the town, property type, project description, desired timing, and photos. If you are not sure which service applies, select “Not Sure” and describe the observed condition or desired result.
- Wide photos showing the full area
- Close photos showing the condition
- Approximate dimensions
- Product or fixture information when known
- How long the issue has existed
- Whether it is active, intermittent, or cosmetic
- Previous repair history
- Any plans, reports, estimates, or association requirements
Kennedy reviews and routes the request
The team reviews the information and decides which path fits:
- Remote scope: Clear, limited work that may be scoped from good information
- Repair visit: Time-and-material or defined service work
- Diagnostic assessment: The source or condition must be investigated
- Site estimate: Measurements, access, materials, and conditions must be confirmed
- Planning engagement: Design, selections, engineering, trade input, or permit strategy is required before construction pricing
Clarify scope and responsibilities
Before work begins, the applicable documentation should explain the known work, exclusions, assumptions, pricing method, materials, access, protection, trade responsibilities, permit responsibility, expected sequence, and change process.
If a project requires a licensed electrician, plumber, HVAC professional, or other regulated provider, the responsible party should be identified.
Approve and schedule
Once the appropriate project stage is approved, Kennedy coordinates the schedule, required materials, team, property access, and customer communication. Custom products, permits, third-party approvals, and specialty trades can affect the start date.
Perform and communicate
Kennedy serves as the organized communication path for the contracted scope. Project updates should focus on completed work, upcoming work, decisions required, discovered conditions, approved changes, and schedule effects.
Review and close out
At completion, review the agreed scope, remaining punch-list items, product information, trade or manufacturer documents supplied, maintenance guidance, and any recommended future work.
What an estimate means
“Estimate” can mean different things. A preliminary range helps decide whether to continue. A service price covers a defined visit. A planning agreement funds design and scope development. A construction proposal prices a more developed scope. The site and sales process should name the document accurately rather than calling every stage a free detailed estimate.
